Playoff match ups have been set

With the conclusion of the regular season upon us and the NBA playoffs beginning on Saturday, the playoff match ups have been set.

Some questions have truly been answered the creation of the playoff match ups. We see that the Miami Heat have come up on the short end of the stick as the Indiana Pacers grabbed the seventh seed and the Chicago Bulls pulled out the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

With the Western Conference being much tighter, we see the Portland Trail Blazers who made a great late season push pick up the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

… And the biggest story of them all! The Boston Celtics beat the sixth seed Milwaukee Bucks in the 82nd game of the season to clinch the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. In a loss to the Raptors the Cavaliers are the #2 seed in the East for the since time in a few seasons.

The first round playoff match ups are as followed for the Eastern Conference:
(I have included winner predictions. Picked by me.)

#1 Boston Celtics vs #8 Chicago Bulls (Winner: Celtics 4-2)
#2 Cleveland Cavaliers vs #7 Indiana Pacers (Winner: Cavaliers 4-0)
#3 Toronto Raptors vs #6 Milwaukee Bucks (Winner: Raptors 4-1)
#4 Washington Wizards vs #5 Atlanta Hawks (Winner: Wizards 4-2)

AH
Al Horford and the Celtics are primed to win a playoff series for the first time since 2012-2013 season

The first round playoff match ups are as followed for the Western Conference
(I have included winner predictions. Picked by me.)

#1 Golden State Warriors vs #8 Portland Trail Blazers (Winner: Warriors 4-0)
#2 San Antonio Spurs vs #7 Memphis Grizzlies (Winner: Spurs 4-1)
#3 Houston Rockets vs  #6 Oklahoma City Thunder (Winner: Rockets 4-2)
#4 Los Angeles Clippers vs #5 Utah Jazz (Clippers: 4-3)

SC
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are ready for a Finals return

Those are my predictions for the first round of the very fun NBA playoffs. While I did not pick any upsets, per usual, there could be some. I’d say the match up with the biggest probability of an upset would be the Western Conference matchup of the Clippers and the Jazz. I would say the two teams are pretty even all the way through. Rudy Gobert vs DeAndre Jordan in the middle will sure be fun to watch.

Make sure to tune into the NBA playoffs starting on Saturday. I will make sure to include at least one post during the first round and as the first round concludes I will make sure to have second round predictions. Enjoy the NBA playoffs & I will check in soon!
