All-Star weekend approaching

With NBA all-star weekend approaching, the full rosters for both the East and the West have been.

With the all-star game set to take place this upcoming sunday at the Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans, I would like to get your opinions on whether anyone was snubbed or not from the all-star game as well as if you believe the all the starters deserve to be starters.

The Eastern Conference Starters as followed:
PG: Kyrie Irving, Cleveland
SG: DeMar DeRozan, Toronto
SF: Lebron James, Cleveland
SF: Giannis Atetokounmpo, Milwaukee
SF: Jimmy Butler, Chicago

The Eastern Conference Reserves as followed:
PG: Isaiah Thomas, Boston
PG: John Wall, Washington
PG: Kyle Lowry, Toronto
PG: Kemba Walker, Charlotte
SF: Paul George, Indiana
SF: Carmelo Anthony, New York (replacing injured Kevin Love, Cleveland)
PF: Paul Millsap, Atlanta

Snubbed: “Mr. Fourth Quarter” Isaiah Thomas is putting on a show this year. His Celtics are 37-19 with one game left to go before the all-star break. Compared to Kyrie Irving’s 24 ppg, Thomas is scoring 29.9 ppg. The comparison doesn’t have to take place between the two. The issue here isn’t that I believe Thomas is better than Irving. Kyrie Irving is a top-three PG in the NBA and he makes it look easy on a nightly basis. For a guy who was picked last in the 2011 draft and has really began to put himself together as a top scorer and player in the NBA, Thomas truly deserves to start. With the 2nd best record in the East, The Boston Celtics coaching staff has been chosen to coach the East Squad. On paper, it all makes sense that Thomas should be starting this game over Irving. With Stevens as the head coach of this team, we should see Thomas getting some good minutes and being put in in different situations (like the whole 4th quarter)

The Western Conference Starters are as followed:
PG: Steph Curry, Golden State
SG: James Harden, Houston
SF: Kevin Durant, Golden State
SF: Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio
PF: Anthony Davis, New Orleans

The Western Conference Reserves are as followed:
PG: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City
SG: Klay Thompson, Golden State
SF: Gordon Heyward, Utah
PF: Draymond Green: Golden State
PF: DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento
C: Marc Gasol, Memphis
C: DeAndre Jordan, Los Angeles (Clippers)

Snubbed: Just like the Thomas/ Irving situation, I believe Westbrook should seriously be starting for the Western Conference squad. Ok, Steph Curry is the best all-around point guard in the NBA with the way he can shoot and defend, but right now, Russell Westbrook is more athletic and is the most athletic dude in the NBA. Westbrook has put this OKC Thunder team on his back and has truly brought his game to a new level with this season. He is able to do almost everything on the court and he always seems to come through for his Thunder team when they need it.

What do you all think of the rosters and the starters?
